prescriptions we are changing the way in which we handle collection of controlled drug prescriptions. you may continue to order in the same way as before. from the 13th september 2018 any prescriptions which list a controlled drug will now be recorded as collected electronically. as part of the new process our care navigators may ask for id for confirmation of who is collecting. acceptable forms of id include bank card, driving license, passport or other photo-identification. this is to provide a safer and more effective service. although this process may take a little longer, we thank you for your patience. nhs provision of gluten free food in the vale of york clinical commissioning group (ccg) area. the vale of york ccg have given careful consideration to the feedback from the local consultation and the subsequent recommendations from the department of health and social care (dhsc) review following their national consultation on gluten free foods. consequently, the decision has been made by the vale of york ccg to adopt the position recommended by the dhsc and to provide gluten free bread and mixes on prescription for all patients with a confirmed diagnoses of coeliac disease. gluten free flour will be removed from the national drug tariff and this will mean that it will no longer be able to be prescribed. the ccg has requested that
